So what brings you in today?
It’s usually the first question I ask patients when they come to see me. The response is almost always PAIN! Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and foot pain. It can be acute pain or pain that’s lasted a long time. But pain is a symptom – a sign that something is wrong.
The real question is, Where is the pain coming from? And, most important, when will it go away? Whether it’s osteoarthritis, a herniated disc, torn rotator cuff or plantar fasciitis, a physical therapist will listen to your history, perform a thorough examination and put a plan in place not only to address your pain but also correct why the pain occurred in the first place.
