As you are most likely aware, the COVID-19-virus (Coronavirus) has now been considered a word-wide pandemic as of 3/11/2020. We want you to know that we using all precautions and recommendations that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advises to control the spread of this virus. As always, we take cleanliness and sanitation seriously and will continue to ensure proper steps are taken to help prevent the spread of the virus.We are asking for your assistance to help reduce the spread of this virus in our clinic and our community by also using proper hygiene methods including:
1. We ask that if you should notice any onset of symptoms, such as:
a. Unusual shortness of breath
b. Sore throat
c. Coughing or
to please cancel your scheduled appointment until symptoms have resolved and/or your physician has cleared you to return to physical therapy.We will arrange to contact you by phone or telehealth options (if this is available to you) to help you stay on track with your current home exercise program. This way you can continue a portion of your physical therapy care at home during this time.
2. We also ask you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after your appointments, as well as avoid touching your face during your sessions, to help further reduce transmission of this virus.
3. Please review and read our posted information guidelines from the CDC website posted in our facility regarding proper handwashing/cleaning and ways to prevent transmission of this virus.We thank you in advance for your cooperation with tackling this problem together.
